Description of Service
Hiraki Labs (OPC) Private Limited, operating as ELI5Now, provides an AI-powered web application that explains complex topics in simple, accessible language. The Service uses third-party large language models to generate responses to user queries.
Important: AI-generated content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise). Responses may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying any information before acting on it.
User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and must not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.
AI-Generated Content
The Service generates responses using artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- Responses do not constitute professional advice of any kind
- You should independently verify information before relying on it for important decisions
- ELI5Now is not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content
Service Operations and Safety
To provide and secure the Service, ELI5Now processes the questions and other content you submit, along with account, usage, and technical information needed to operate the product.
Content may be processed by the third-party AI and infrastructure providers used to deliver the Service. We may also use automated or manual safeguards to investigate misuse and enforce the prohibited-use rules below. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service for any of the following purposes:
Illegal Activities:
- Any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Soliciting, planning, or facilitating criminal activity
- Money laundering, fraud, or financial crimes
- Creating, distributing, or accessing child sexual abuse material
Dangerous or Harmful Activities:
- Generating instructions for weapons, explosives, drugs, or other dangerous substances
- Planning or facilitating violence, terrorism, or self-harm
- Generating content intended to harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any person
- Attempting to extract harmful, dangerous, or unethical instructions from the AI
Deceptive or Abusive Activities:
- Generating content for disinformation, fraud, or impersonation
- Using AI-generated content to deceive others about its origin (e.g., submitting as original academic work without disclosure)
- Circumventing safety measures, rate limits, or access controls
- Automated or bulk access to the Service without prior written consent
- Reverse-engineering, scraping, or extracting the AI models or their outputs at scale
Spam and Commercial Misuse:
- Using the Service to generate spam, unsolicited communications, or mass marketing content
- Reselling or redistributing the Service or its outputs without authorisation
Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of these terms may result in any or all of the following, at ELI5Now’s sole discretion:
- Immediate account suspension or permanent termination without prior notice
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities where we reasonably believe a violation involves illegal activity, poses a risk of harm to any person, or is required by applicable law
- Cooperation with legal proceedings, including disclosure of account information and conversation data pursuant to valid legal process
ELI5Now reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a use constitutes a violation of these terms.
Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ELI5Now and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
You retain ownership of the questions and prompts you submit. AI-generated responses are provided under a limited, non-exclusive licence for your personal use. You may share responses but may not systematically extract, republish, or commercialise them at scale.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall ELI5Now, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. ELI5Now does not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability, intellectual property, and enforcement) shall survive.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, or any other policy at any time. Updated policies will be posted on our website with the revised effective date.
It is your responsibility to review our policies periodically for changes. We may, but are not obligated to, notify you of changes via email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after any revisions are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
For material changes that significantly affect your rights or obligations, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice. However, certain changes (including those required by law or for security reasons) may take effect immediately.
